Ole Communications – Part Time Receptionist

Dream in Green – Digital Marketing and Communications Intern
The Digital Marketing and Communications intern will conduct an analysis of Dream in Green’s current digital marketing efforts, develop goals, a strategic plan and be responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan over the course of a 4 – 6 month internship period. He/she will provide recommendations to the Executive Director on how to enhance the organization’s engagement and digital marketing tactics to build brand awareness and fundraising results and utilize analytics tools. He/she will be responsible for the growth of our digital engagement and branding over the course of the internship period. The intern may also assist with other duties as assigned. Expense-Paid Internships at companies throughout the media and advertising industry. Includes travel, housing, living allowance, industry orientation, internship placement, and mentoring! Open to current juniors, seniors, and graduate students of all majors. The IRTS Summer Fellowship Program has had a key role in launching the careers of top professionals in the media business for more than 45 years. Often referred to as a “media boot camp,” this highly selective program teaches a talented group of up-and-coming communicators the realities of the business world through an all-expense-paid internship in New York City, which includes practical experience and career-planning advice.  Participants emerge from this program with a strong understanding of our entire business, along with carefully honed skills in career planning, resume writing, and interviewing. Fellows are then able to reinforce or redefine specific career goals before starting a career within the media industry.

Travel, housing, and allowance included in this prestigious sales training program. Held in tandem with the IRTS Summer Fellowship Program, the Broadcast Sales Associate Program is a diversity initiative designed to give graduating seniors a jumpstart on the television management track.

Art Curation with Artfinder Developer
Artfinder, a London-based e-commerce art gallery (that recently moved into the MBUS neighborhood) is looking to pay someone who knows software engineering to build a very simple web application for a collaboration they are doing with the Susquehanna Art Museum in Pennsylvania. The project should take about two weeks and the student will be credited for this work.  The Art Museum has a ‘moving museum’ that tours around the state with artwork to teach children.  Artfinder is working with the museum to implement a program that enables children/ students to browse works on a tablet or computer screen, select 3-5 works and have them project on the wall–as if they were ‘curating’ their own exhibition. The idea involves designing an app in a computer that can work offline and houses a library of around 1000 images which can be filtered by color, medium, artist, etc. Artfinder will provide all the data needed to create this project and would provide the specs. Please note that you must already have experience with software design.  If you have questions or are interested in this paid opportunity, please email Angela Roldan, Business Development Director for Artfinder at:

Sun Sentinel – Summer Internship
South Florida’s largest daily newspaper, winner of the 2013 Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal for Public Service. We offer seven paid internships for the summer of 2018. This is an intensive, 11-week program, from early June to mid-August, which offers hands-on experience and training in a dynamic newsroom setting. Responsibilities: Interns are paid biweekly and will get to do reporting and write stories, shoot and edit photo and video, design for print and digital, and engage in social media. They will work closely with reporters, visual journalists and editors, who will also serve as their mentors. Global DC Careers Transformation Contest
If you want a career where you can make the world a better place, this is the contest for you! We’re looking for undergraduate students
who want to see first-hand how various federal government agencies and nonprofit organizations do a world of good through diplomacy and international development.
To enter, all you need to do is submit a creative, original work
of art (a poem, painting, sculpture, photo, essay, etc.) that tells the story of an international or intercultural experience that changed you. SCJ Global Strategic Communications – Communications Intern

FIU Incubator – Intern
The FIU Incubator with Ratcliffe is looking for 2-3 student interns for Spring 2017 to help with social media, website design, promotional materials, and writing. This is a great opportunity for any students interested in the arts and business. The student will have to commit to 12-15 hours a week and will work alongside a graphic design to create work samples for a future portfolio. Student must be a good writer and be able to commute to BBC. FIU’s College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts (CARTA) has partnered with The Philip E. and Carole R. Ratcliffe Foundation Inc., to create an incubator aimed at giving FIU art and design students the tools and support needed to turn their ideas into profitable businesses. CARTA will open the Ratcliffe Arts + Design Incubator at FIU at the university’s Biscayne Bay Campus in North Miami. Gulfstream Media Group – Editorial Internship

MURAP Summer Fellowship
The Moore Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (MURAP) is a paid summer fellowship designed for college juniors and seniors from colleges and universities in the U.S. The program seeks to foster the entrance of talented students from diverse backgrounds into PhD programs in the humanities, social sciences, or fine arts. Film Production Internship, Omniboat, Miami, FL
This is a film and tv production-focused internship — duties would include helping around the office, location scouting, assisting producers, and working on set and in the actual throws of production. The film is comprised of twelve shorts, shot by twelve of the best new independent directors. This would give students the valuable opportunity to work with not just one, but twelve production teams and directing styles. We strive to include our interns as much as possible in the creative and educational process of filmmaking.
We ask that interns commit to 2-3 days a week in the production office, with opportunities available to be on set as students are willing and able. This is an unpaid internship, but we are able to cover meals and gas. THR33FOLD is looking for an enthusiastic intern with a passion for design to assist the creative department in all visual needs of current clientele. The individual will work closely with the team on client work, so attention to detail is an absolute must. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills and experience in graphic design (for print and digital), the Adobe Creative Suite, social media and website design. Carma Connected – PR & Marketing Intern
Intern Application Criteria: currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, 3.0 GPA or above, reliable transportation and able to assist with events, reside in Miami or surrounding areas, ability to receive school credit is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Interns at Carma Connected will utilize the semester to apply current knowledge, skills and studies to a work environment. As an intern, the student will shadow Junior Account Executives, Account Executives and Account Directors to ensure interns are submersed into the industry and learn the day-to-day work of a professional publicist. They will be given tasks that will require use of current skills and learnings including researching new publications and pitch opportunities, compiling publicity reports and event recaps, assisting with events and writing press materials such as media alerts and press releases. Project Ateles- External Communications Planner
This project is physically sited in the Redlands and is adjacent to Monkey Jungle and its affiliate the Dumond Conservancy– a not-for-profit scientific organization.  Ateles is an outgrowth of the Dumond Conservancy (DC) and seeks to carry forward the DC’s scientific mission of studying and improving the welfare of non-human primates and the tropical forest ecosystems on which they depend.
Responsibilities Include: Graphics; website design; social media structure.  We need help planning how to reach and mobilize students, community groups, and donors. Need social media savvy and proficiency in Photoshop. Wordpress experience a plus.  Ideal intern would be a responsible graduate student in the North Miami area willing to drive to Hollywood for meetings, and who would be able to work remotely with little supervision.  Must love monkeys!
