Ronald McDonald House of Miami is looking to hire an Events & Communications Intern. This internship is a supporting role for the Executive Director and its Special Events Team. This person will be involved in all aspects of Event Management, Communication pieces, social media and other Charity programs. Responsibilities include assisting with coordinating the quarterly newsletter, maintaining and promoting the Charity’s social network sites and website, and assisting in fundraisers and scholarship ceremony event. Miami Creative Boot Camp invites students  interested in learning about the advertising industry and the creative process, to test their creative talents and skills by attending their free 4-day Creative Boot Camp! This award-winning event aims to increase diversity in the advertising industry through mentoring and rigorous hands-on participation. This workshop is a special occasion for students interested in an advertising career or those whose trajectory is to become a successful strategist, art director, or copywriter. Our program gives participants’ a priceless peek into the process of creating advertising campaigns and exposure to legendary creatives. SIX, a mobile site that will offer users six unique perspectives sourced from within and beyond their political boundaries, is looking to hire a content producer. Their goal is to facilitate social activism. Responsibilities include researching and producing a publishable issue weekly. Requirements include excellent writing skills, experience shooting and editing video, and strong research skills. Compensation will be $10 an hour for 20 hours weekly. Applicants can expect to learn full multimedia skills, how to present news and information while incentivizing critical thinking, gaining knowledge on a variety of news outlets, and understanding how to use social media effectively. SWARM Inc. is looking for volunteers to help their annual lifestyle festival Wynwood Life Festival. This 3 day festival focuses on art, music, food, and fashion and will occur from April 21st through the 23rd. Volunteers will be required to arrive 2 hours prior to assist with event set-up. You will NOT need to stay for the entire duration of the event day. There will be alternating shifts assigned. Volunteers will be able to help at the Style Lounge dressing models, and assisting the fashion designers. Others will be helping as artist hospitality assisting Wynwood’s finest artist making sure they are taken of and assisting them with their needs. Meals and parking will also be provided.
