Holly Morganelli is the Global Learning Librarian at FIU Libraries and serves as the liaison librarian for Communication Arts and Asian Studies.

Holly Morganelli moved to multicultural Miami and began working at FIU in Fall of 2014 after living and working in the following locales: Nassau, The Bahamas, Doha, Qatar, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a few places in Southern Africa including Lusaka, Zambia. Prior to that, she spent several years living, working, and studying in international and multicultural New York City.

Faculty can work one-on-one with Holly to create LibGuides for specific courses, assignments, and tests. For more information, contact Holly.

Steven j. and Dorothea Green Library

Located at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus (MMC), the Green Library is FIU’s main library, and one of the largest library buildings in the Southeastern United States.  Originally designed by architect David M. Harper in 1973 and expanded to its current 8 floors by the architecture firm M. C. Harry & Associates, Inc. in the early 1990s.  Available to students are: group study rooms, music and film collections, government document collections, reference materials, graphic novels, laptops/iPads/eReaders, and much more!

    Open-concept computer lab, group study areas, print/copy/scan stations, and device checkout area; Desktop computers (both Mac & PC) offer: Internet access, Microsoft Office Suite, SPSS, Datastream, Respondus Lock-down Browser, Final Cut Pro, & select CD-ROM/local databases.  Also available are book/document scanners, CD/DVD burners, Macromedia software (Flash, Dreamweaver), Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, & Media Production/Editing Rooms.
  • GIS Center | located GL 2nd fl.
    The Geographic Information Systems Center supports and facilitates the teaching and research activities of the FIU community in the areas of GIS, remote sensing, geospatial web visualization, and geospatial data management
  • Special Collections & University Archives | located GL 4th fl.
    Special Collections works to acquire and preserve rare, unique, and out-of-print materials which support the research needs of faculty and students.  It also serves as the archive/depository for official records relating to the founding, development, and plans for FIU.
